The City is responsible for the administration and maintenance of a roadway network of approximately 34 center-line miles or 68 lane-miles. In addition, the City manages and maintains 13 parking lots with a total area of approximately 36,000 square yards. This network forms one of the City's most valuable assets, to be managed in a cost-effective manner. The Pavement Management Plan provides asphalt overlay/resurfacing to local streets in order to restore and maintain pavement in a systematic manner to minimize major reconstruction and extend pavement life span. Streets require periodic maintenance to keep them in good condition.
