Commissioners serve a four-year term. When a vacancy occurs, members of the public are encourage to complete a commission application. These are reviewed by a member of City Council, with input from the Arts Commission Chair. Additional commission support comes from committees, such as the Committee to Approve Public Art (CAPA), project-focused ad-hoc committees and art juries.
